    Abstract
DISSERTATION This study investigated the effects of Teachers' Motivation on Learners Performance at Primary Leaving Examinations in Tororo County, Tororo District-Uganda. There were three main objectives set in the study to establish the kind of motivation given to the teachers, level of teachers, motivation and the impact of teacher’s motivation on the learners’ performance. Cluster sampling method was used to arrive at the samples for the study. The samples included Primary schools, teachers and head teachers of the primary schools. The questionnaire was used to collect data from the sampled teachers and head teachers of the primary schools sampled for the study. Descriptive statistical analysis method was used where frequency distributions and percentages successfully aided the analysis. The findings of the investigation clearly indicated low teachers’ motivation in Tororo County, Tororo District that cannot influence learners’ performance for better results at Primary Leaving Examinations. It was therefore, recommended that Education managers should adequately and equally integrate extrinsic and intrinsic motivation in order to satisfy various/varied teachers’ needs, where motivational factors should be improved, regulated and consistent in order to attain a high level of teachers’ motivation for positive impact on the learners’ performance
